Forums – General Membership

The Alliance for Children and Youth of Waterloo Region holds general forum meetings on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Locations vary and will be included with each agenda. Forum meetings are open to all Alliance members as well as those considering membership. Member organizations may send as many staff/volunteers as they wish to these meetings.

Meetings for 2003-2004 are as follows:

• December - no meeting in December. Enjoy your winter holiday.

• February 26
• March 25
• April 22
• May 27
• June 24
• July and August - no meetings in July and August – Enjoy your summer holiday.

Facilitating Committee Meetings

The Facilitating Committee typically meets on the first Monday of each month from 3:00 – 5:00. The location of these meetings varies.

Working Groups

The Alliance may create working groups to look at specific issues. Currently there is a working group looking at the prevention elements of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and how we can best support local efforts to make the implementation and function of the act as effective as possible.

This group met in May and June, 2003 and will meet again September 4th and September 30th, 2003. This group will contribute to the Community Follow-up meeting on October 3, 2003.
